I've been travelling from tournament to tournament for over a month and only now I'm back home. Am I too late for this contest? I wouldn't like to "waste" time if the deadline has passed :)

What kind of commentary is chess.com looking for? I've wanted to make youtube videos doing chess commentary for a while now but I'm not sure if NM and higher level commentary is what the chess.com community as a whole would be looking for. I can explain my move choices and ideas a lot more indepth for a bit lower rated viewer to understand if that's what the community would prefer. Or I can explain my game as I would to my 2200+ colleagues if that's prefered

NM MattyDPerrine, this is just me going out on a limb, but I think most players are rated between 1000 and 1600 here, so If you can dumb down your explanations for players of that level, then perhaps that would work, but that's just a guess on my part.

It's kind of odd that Chess.com hasn't defined this contest very well, either in terms of a deadline or selection procedure (at least as far as I can tell). The truth is that all of these videos and producers have merit and they all deserve a (raised) platform. Given the talent between TVedas, Squarology, Awratts, Zibbit and others, it's a matter of taste as they are all good. Personally, I like Zibbit- he's no nonsense and sharp but I would hate to see these other guys be ignored as well. I guess I'm saying that I'd prefer multiple winners rather than just one.

I concur with that, but it would be great if the staff would at some point place a deadline to the contest.

My latest. I am pretty upset in this one because beforehand I've spent a bunch of time recording a session just to realize that I was playing against a cheater :( I am ranting quite a lot in this one, but maybe you will still find some of the stuff instructive! Also, there is some Tactics Trainer action while I am waiting for my games. If you wanna see more of that, lemme know! 

P.S. I have the 4 games against a cheater recorded on a video, might post it for entertainment purposes when he gets banned :)
