Looks more like a tactics trainer item than a daily puzzle.

    Gud 1...

I played Qe8+ with plans to play Qxe7 before the correct move.  Maybe I was wrong because the check was unnecessary?

    more like tactics trainer

Not too bad...  We need more of these where it's find the best move, and not just Mate in x-amount of moves.

  • #91

    not a good puzzle..

The key is in the Title, "Equalizing"...after 2.Qxb7, White is roughly equal.

i think in black's move Bxf3 would be much better. one pawn is one pawn. especially if it is just near the king.

What was that.... All we did was take a bishop. I thought these puzzles went for checkmate or at least something awesome. Just a bishop....

  • #95

    where's the mate

  • #96

    Blah....

  • #97

    Qe8+ Kh7

    Qxe7

Same result, and arguably better position. But if the puzzle isn't going to lead to mate, why not harrassing the black queen instead?

Because winning a piece is better?

    Also, after 1. Qe8+, Bf8; 2. what?
