I didn´t get it...
Well I am not very bright. I was looking for a check or checkmate? I understand the advantage of removing opponent pieces, but could we have least played out the match and gotten a check or checkmate, no matter the amount of moves. ARGH!

Well, how about that.
One bishop is as good as another!
qe8+ would have picked up the dark squared bishop so that should be able to work.
