i don't get it... even tho solved. seems to me i would have taken queen after knight move either by advancing pawn or trapping with bishop, instead of messing with trade. but what do i know...ain't my name up in lights  wink.png

The trade was done to prevent the knight from checking the king forking both your rook and king (or if you move the bishop to trap then that would also be forked) and the knight can then interfere with your trap and take some extra material. Through this fair trade any additional material gain is prevented
