Expected an easier one for a Monday. Found it pretty quickly after I read the title and figured out that it's not a question of a checkmate, though.

chessleogeo

hated the first move

I was expecting a bit more here.  Usually these puzzles don't rely on black making blunders.  Moving the knight is, to be blunt, idiotic.  So what really is happening here is white is capturing an undefendable knight.

Why the hell does black move the knight?

They save the night, and lose a queen.. Why not just leave the night and lose it.. and still have a queen? (even if all in all they will lose the match)

Yes exactly. Bad move by black.

Could not agree more

FishN4Fish

very easy peasy

Looking for checkmate, but after careful study was able to see the sloution.

A4Attack55

Good one, black should lose the knight instead of the queen.

I guess it depends what you're trying to accomplish with the puzzle.  I see a lot of them formatted this way in an Ipod app I have; in that case if a second move is even included it's usually so you have to demonstrate you understood the point of the first.

Besides, if the response had just been to move the black queen somewhere or some such, there would have been 45 comments by now saying it was a stupid puzzle because black just let his knight hang. :)

first page!

Mmmmmm.... the first move it was problematic

Position for white is hard to play with. Taking out a major piece makes it more balanced.
