Personally I enjoy slow torture for my opponents in a helpless situation.
Like somebody else said: never do in 2 moves what you can do in 12. :D

I agree that winning the queen is defs a good alternative to checkmate. But as for the rest...mate, sorry, but thats a pretty lame attitude. Taking the queen is exactly that: an alternative to checkmate, a means to an end, not the goal. "Slow torture"? Grow up.
