    Muy lindo, es un rompecabezas agradable

    I tired rook promotion at first to check if it is rejected and it was rejected! Only queen promotion is allowed here! (Although both are the same...)

    Good Queen Sac! Like it

     I think what's next is 2. e8Q# , not exd8Q+ which is why Nd8 is not under consideration as a solution (i.e. it leads to mate in less moves).

  • #111

    e8=R+ works also

    idiots it is NOT WRONG when i promote the pawn to a ROOK

     Yeah, I wanted to promote to rook.  I just like mating with the lowest possible ranking piece.  This puzz was almost Sunday quality, right out of Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess.  That book was page after page of Queen/rook column mates, with the king usually conveniently trapped in his castle.

    Study the board,

    find the quickest, most sure fire way of trashing the useless white Queen,

    - and you can be certain, a mate will pop up.

    Chess, Chess.com style.

    Defend 2. e8=R+ then as black.

    What's that? You can't? You're still forced to take the rook?

    Try again next time.
