If this king takes the rook, the game is a stalemate. White has no legal moves. The idea behind the puzzle is to sacrifice your queen for a stalemate position since winning is no longer possible due to the position being bad and the obvious difference in material, avoid black capturing white's rook with anything other than the king, and keep giving check until repetition occurs.
