    Sorry, but the solution offered is wrong (see post #19) as some others have pointed out, since black is given a discretionary (non-checking) move & can play either 2...Rxg8 or 2...h4 instead of Bxe8. These delay mate until the fourth move. I think it should be:-

    1.gxf4+  Kh6     this is practically forced since blocking with the bishop still results in mate in 3;
    1...Bg6
    2.Rxg6+  hxg6
    3.Qxg6#

    2.Qf8+  Qxf8
    3.fxe5#

    Mate should always be in the least number of moves !

    @Prativa_pralh : First of all what justify ...Kh6 ? And so if start from there, your solution is one of the worst (cf stefen_33 comment)... I don't see the point of proposing puzzles unachieved like this.
