i know there is a name for this mate.....

1. Qe6+ Kg8
2. Nf7+ Kh8
3. (1) Nd8+ Kf8
3. (2) Nd8+ Kg8
4. (1) Qf7#
4. (2) Qe8+ Qf8
smothered mate - nice combination to know
SMOTHERED IS RIGHT!!!!
two interesting ways to do it
Nothing wrong with it. Today's answer had a queen sacrifice and a
smothered mate with a knight so that's obviously the right one.
That's what I was trying to quote
Not Bad...i have seen this before but its fun to solve such puzzles yet

Completely true. There is nothing wrong with that line. I don't think this puzzle is supposed to have 2 solutions. Maybe the composer didn't see this?
It is good old Fischer style!:)
Bravo for another version of mate in 5, it proves that is allways good to be creative and thoughtful!
