The King can NOT take the Queen because is protected by the Knight on E6, only the K or the R can take!
I was referring to the puzzle put forth by prativa_pralh , not the regular Daily puzzle . This move list is posted as the solution
1. Qh6+ Ke8 2. Qg7 Rf83. Qxf8+ Nxf8 4. Ng7# ,
on move 3 , there is nothing stopping one from playing Kxf8 instead of Nxf8 and thereby deflating the attack
