    Queen sac - good one!

  • #92

I'm going to be honest: that took me about 30 minutes.  Excellent puzzle in my opinion.

  • #93

    hard

    nice work!

1.Nxf4 is very tempting because it checks the black king & I nearly tried it. But if you reverse white's first two moves, it leaves the e-file open for 2...Qe7+ & that blows white's attack apart (3...g5 ?).
Non-checking moves always make me a little uneasy but 1.Qxf4  is the correct one here.

    good one

I like the N sac first, which leads to clear mate. Why give up the queen when the downside is so great if you miss something.  Nice for puzzles to sac queen, but no need for high wire calculation when a clear path with less risk is available.

    Good one.

Much to my surprise I saw this one fairly quickly. Mighty fine.
