    Is that not an acceptable solution simply for the insipid response by black of  1. ... Qxe6 ?  That would just be followed by 2. Qxe6, with check, with a lopsided juggernaut of a victory?

    It really annoys me when a perfectly good combination is deemed incorrect in favor of some ridiculously contrived sacrifice.
