Once Black takes the white queen, white can not move the pawn that was his only move - hence stailmate and a draw.

look at white's possible moves, he was down(and would have surely lost) so he brought about a stalemate.
Nice puzzle, especially the self-inflicted pin of the g4 pawn. Certainly different from the usual.
how is that stale mate? can't black just take the queen with his queen?
