    It should be a mate in 7. I have no idea why the rook doesn't block.

    If you had actually taken the time to look through the comments, you would have seen melogibbo's diagram on page three which shows that if the rook blocks it is still mate in six.

    your line is the same as the chess.com puzzle

    a new line is r.blocks at e file,qxr+, kh8(f8 ,q mates atf7) kh8,n.+f7,kg8,nxq +,kh8,n+,kg8,n.h file +,kh8,qg8+,rxq, n. mate
