The 3rd and 4th moves for white may be reversed. 3.Qa8+ KxQ  4.Rc8+ RxR 5.PxR(Q)+ Bb8 6. Qc6 also works.

No. Because after 3 Qa8+?! Kxa8 (forced) 4 Rc8+ Kb7! and now there is no mate in the next 2 moves!

but its not mate in 6, if Kc7

If 4...Kc7 then 5. Qc8# or 5. dxc8=Q#.

The problem with your puzzle is that after 3 Rc3 black plays 3 ..., Rd8 blocking white's attempts to checkmate.  Black should be able to win this one.

OMG, What about a checkmate in 4, not 6:

1. Qf3, Qe4

2. Rc8, Rxc8

3. dxc8=Q, Bb8

4.Qxe4#

2. Rc8 Kb7!

for chess.com,  please make puzzle freestyle, because there are some other ways in your puzzle's for mate.

why can't you just rook up, taken by black rook, pawn changes to queen by capturing rook, then bishop blocks, queen slides over for mate? 4 moves

I don't understand...

1. Rc8+ Rxc8 2. dxc8=Q+ Bb8 3. Qf3+ Qd5 4. Qxd5#

and it is checkmate in two less moves :|

Ah, I see it now. I had the second best combination and for some reason was thinking the King couldn't move and just allow the Rook to be taken.

1. Rc8+ Kb7 2. Qf3+ (2. Rxd8 Qxh2#) Ka6, black has escaped.
