Alright now done & done- =D
After the 2nd move, if black takes with the queen instead of the knight he can block the checkmate, puzzle fail.
ok stand corrected, checked through comments and saw that mate in 5 can still be made with the queen taking the knight, sorry, just woke up, bit sleepy!breakfast time now...
Yesterday's mate in 3 was infact 5. This one second move Qh7+, black responds Kf7, third move Bg6+ black plays Ke6, then Qh3 mate. So it is mate in 4.
No its not. Black king has a free square at d5, which allows king to escape.
uhh .... Nxe7+ and where is the mate after Qxe7 for black?
Another game I made up. Hope you like it!
wont Q to h7 be check mate?
in the second move
No, the king can escape because it leaves a diagonal open, which is why you need to make the moves with the bishop.
It's a great puzzle.
I'm pretty sure ND6 works too but ok
1. Nd6 is not a check so black has time to respond 1...Qxh5. Black wins.
Mate in 5
Intuitive. Very nice.
all goes in sequence...
