Good textbook tactical puzzle.
The reason why these puzzles sometimes suddenly stop (frustratingly) just a few moves from mate is often because they've been taken from a real game & the player under attack resigned. Had they played on I think it would have gone like this(?) :-
This is the kind of mating sequence worth practicing until you can do it with your eyes closed
dont think the outcome was quite settled- a lot left to do!
No check mate
This puzzle basically solved itself. Seriously, could anyone not see and move 1. Qc6?. Once you move that, then all else follows with little or no thought. Most chess.com puzzles are like that.
Did not see that rk!!!!Keep getting it wrng!!!!!
why not finish it ?
Great puzzle, took me a few tries to get it.
easy and nice.
Not even third page!
the reason why it wasn't finished is that there are at least 3 different mate in twos at the end. the three I found are below5 .... Kc7 (forced)
6. Rb7+ Kc8 (forced) 7. Qa8# or 7. Qc8#or 6. Qb7+ Kd6 (forced) 7. Rb6#
