Why not Re1#?
These puzzles just get easier and easier. And why are there so many queen sacs?
@TOKYOISAWESOME99: The bishop can block.
OHHHH yea solved it
I am still trying to understand the implication of terms in name of this puzzle. "Persitant with The Mate". I found the accepted terms for "Perpetual Check", "Perpetual Mate Pursuit" the short word "Mate" as used for "Checkmate" but nothing close as perpetual with the mate. Would this name work "Almost Persistant with the Check....Mate" ? Back to the books for me.
what is wrong with 3.Te1 ?~!
Fun and easy but it's not mate yet until the king and rook moves. Cool puzzle. =)
1. Qf4+... gxf4
2. Bxf4+... Ke7
Its still not mate. black can move ...Ke6
First pa..., oh wait.
Yup, still not mate. ...Ke6 then one of the White rooks gives check. I don't think the chess.com puzzles can handle multiple solutions, that's why some of them end early.
qto e7 not check mate
smpli to thinking it
