Why not qxd4 or nxd4 for the second move of the blacks? With a queen sacrifice, the mat can't happend, right? (2.qxd4 3be3 3qxe4!)

Then f4 is mate for both situations because the rook or queen would choke out the exit

    Very nice. In theory...

  • #124

done in 5 seconds!!!!!!!!! new recordCool

  • #125

    evranis exactly the same issue

black could take the pawn with queen instead of king

  • #126

I wonder how many people just played the moves without calculating any variations. It seems so simple :D

  • #127

nice. solved it in the second try

  • #128

After qxd4 or Nxd4 by black in second move, moving f4 by white is mate, just in 3rd move. Right.

  • #135

Not so simple for a Monday.

  • #136

most people would just go knight to f7, and take blacks queen.

  • #137

I like the way black has to take the pawn with his king, and NOT his queen or Knight, otherwise f4 is instant checkmate!

    f4# in both instances

  • #139

Did this happen in an actual game?

    This position seems unreal.
