    Absolute slaughter!

They should do puzzles like this everyday - so it really tests how good you are! Far too many Sunday-like puzzles!

  • #63

the perfect end to a long week of easy puzzles!

pretty tough, but the themes were basic

  • #64

    easy

    Nice Mate in 6 if:

    1) ... Rxh6 2) Qf6+ Nxf6 3) exf6+ Kg8 4) Rd8+ Rxd8 5) Rxd8+ Kh7 6) Ng5#

  • #66

    nice one. :)

  • #67

    nice one

  • #68

good puzzle.. the first move the most difficult but ...i think need to hv good composure to play like this.

  • #69

    mighty fine.

  • #70

this shouldnt even be a mate in 8. The first move for black was more of a mistake rather then a forced move. If anything it shouldve been a mate in 7 starting off with blacks mistake

  • #71

    Very Nice Puzzle!

  • #72

    Black might have a chance if after 4. Rxd8+ he plays 4... Kh7, then after 5. Bg7+ ... Nh5 6. Rxh8+ ... Kxg6, the mating square on f6 is guarded by the knight

    amazing :) not easy one..

    What prevents Rxh6 after Bxh6+ ?

    well, then Qf6+, N take(the two rooks are on the D file now), pawn take, Kg8, Rd8+, Kh7, Ng5#

    Very nice puzzle indeed! :)

At every puzzle there are people asking 'why isn't this or that possible?' when several people have already explained. After finishing the puzzle, I was also wondering why Rxh6 didn't work for black, but I read the comments before I asked..

I was totally out of reach--I was guessing the whole time....
