I found a mate in 3 that doesn't require a queen sac. It was actually my first move. My second attempt was the queen sac, and I don't think it was as good of a move. Well here it is

    Ng4, hxg6
    Qh6+, Kf7
    Qxg6#

I actually didn't notice queen was unprotected so when i made the move I just barely noticed a possible checkmate after queen was taken. Sometimes... its good to go from the gut.Wink

Nice problem idea: but I don't know if it's because I am a free member of chess.com but this is the 2nd time this one appears. I hope the puzzles are not repeating themselves too often.

Cool, I did this again, all correct moves! Haha xD

And always always the Queen has to get taken.... why? I think this is one of the reasons I can figure these puzzles out - it's get the Queen taken first, then keep checking the King without regard to pieces. It's interesting - but realistic? I dunno!

But I'm enjoying doing these puzzles, anyway. :D

Why hxg6 ?  I think 1...Rf7 (followed by ...Qf8) causes the real problem for white !

for some reason the colors are reversed in this puzzle I think

seems to me I saw this game and Black won with that attack Smile
