how does one study about endgame ?

Dazzl3
I have heard at many places that to improve my game ,I will have to study end game and it's tactics ,how should I start ?

Start with a good endgame book like Silmans Complete Endgame Course, or Jesus De la Villa's 100 Endgames You Must Know.  Setup the postions on a real board, with real pieces.

you can even study Capablanca's best chess endings along with the above basic book Fisheyedfools suggested . He was an endgame virtuoso

You are on the right path if u realize u need to learn endgames. DO THAT FIRST. Learn all basic endings. Over and over. Then Tactics and pawn structures.

I know ace. It was a joke.

I actually went through a Capablanca book when I studied chess. I realized endgame knowledge will make make every player much stronger.

yes endgames make one properly understand the dynamics of pieces when board is almost empty.

DamonevicSmithlov

The thing is that about half of the chess u play will be endings. Do the math.

The drills are worth a look - even better if you are a paid up member.

Try www.chesstempo.com. Should pick up something there.

Endgame study has to be active. You have to try and analyse (test) positions. You need to struggle. Studying endgames is a bit like eating your greens or getting up on a cold winter's morning. It has to be done to progress though. Once you are studying its not so bad if you throw yourself into it.
