how does one study about endgame ?

I have heard at many places that to improve my game ,I will have to study end game and it's tactics ,how should I start ?

you can even study Capablanca's best chess endings along with the above basic book Fisheyedfools suggested . He was an endgame virtuoso

yes endgames make one properly understand the dynamics of pieces when board is almost empty.

Endgame study has to be active. You have to try and analyse (test) positions. You need to struggle. Studying endgames is a bit like eating your greens or getting up on a cold winter's morning. It has to be done to progress though. Once you are studying its not so bad if you throw yourself into it.
