Interesting Combination/Trap Thingy

  • #1

Probably the longest combination I've ever played:

(of course I went on to drop a rook... c'est la vie)

Oh, I didn't know they all had to be forced. In that case it's the longest sequence of moves involved in a tactical exchange in which I came out ahead in material.

  • #4

Yeah, ok. I lumped it together because after the first exchange, Rad8 would appear, at first glance, to be a very logical continuation (rook on open file and pushes back the knight), and this was the main reason I played the first exchange, to try to set up the second one.

    can't black play 24....Nf7+?

and who decides that? If we get into an argument here now the thread will be derailed and everything would be on topic, then moderators will lock the thread and then you have no longer thread because some people have decided so.

Well, let me see, this thread is about chess.  666AAA666's post is completely out of left field and doesn't make any sense out side of its retaliatory intent.

666AAA666's thread was a beligerent tirade about how he felt slighted by a user in a thread that got locked, and as a result by chess.com that descended in him insulting anyone who responded (including, now, coming into their threads to harass them as seen above).

He made a claim I agree with, if some thread is deliberately derailed, MODs should have to delete the uncalled posts and then OPs should block users instead of lock threads here, there and there. And that is what should happen with this very own thread

    Wow, self immolation.

    Delicious.

  • #15

    Nice and crispy.

  • #16

Sorry, I made a mistake in what I said before, in this case the thread should be just locked

  • #17

Why? People may want to talk about the combination/trap thingy and/or circus waffles.

  • #18

or they may want the thread locked
