Dr. Wolf doesn't explain me why this is the best move

You have a big material plus but your king is open to attack.

Your move lets your opponent play Qxg2#.

Ne4 stops that threat and makes a threat of your own- taking on d6 with check, trading the queens which would permanently remove that mate threat against your own king .

Qe4 seems equally tempting to me.  That defends c2, offers the desired Q trade, defends the mate, and looks to take the knight if he declines the trade and moves away with his Q.  Bd5 is no threat as RXd5 puts you farther ahead.   Am I missing something that makes the Knight that much better?  I mean, odds are you end up with QxQ if your opponent is any good, but if they decide to do anything else, its a big win for you, and trading is also a winner, though slower.

If the best your program can say here is 'all right', you need a new program.

Ah,  I see.  Some programs try to give english words about the position, and sometimes they fail badly (sort of like translator programs) to cook up meaningful words.

Most likely, my idea is playing off the potential for your opponent to screw up, and his idea is playing off a 40 move look ahead against perfect responses where the knight wins faster or cleaner.
