I enjoyed your tale....trying to remember the phrase for chess blindness cause that's what i suffer from :).....love your memorabilia....do you collect a lot of chess antiques?

HI and thanks for reading and the comment.

The phrase is in the story. Grim says it when he losses the game to me. Better go back and check it out.

Bye

Thanks so much for reading both parts.

That was 10.000 words or so.

Denver, I bought "The Chess Companion", by Chernev, and that story is NOT there. Do you have any idea which book it might be in?

Hi King

Hmmm. . . I never thought of a third part. I used to think that part was when

The Grim Ripper would come and get me for real.

I guess I will write the third part. Good Suggestion.

Oh well, he is not there for me, can't see him right. hehe
Knowing the rules go a long way, eh.
Knowing where you going go has it's benefits too, would it not? Cool
You better keep practicing, you just never know. Tongue Out

 @ ZHROB

Thanks for reading and the great comments.

"What the heck is that 'Amaurosis Scacchistica?'" I asked.

"It's just the name for chess blindness. I was there when TChigorin invented it in 1892 when he lost to Steinitz.."
