1 min blitz

In my opinion that's a waste of a minute. Thered absolutely no time to do anything meaningful. Pure waste of time.

I completely agree.

That's why I win using less than 10 seconds...

Don't be silly!  It's almost 2 minutes wasted.

I think they call it bullet.

Chess is supposed to be fun. Bullet is fun. Therefore bullet is not a waste of a minute. If it was, top Grandmasters wouldn't do it.

If you're talking about 30 second per side chess I totally agree with you though. My mouse can't move that fast.

Meh, I do it when I feel annoyed or when I have very little time and want to use it for something.

Ghostwood summarises it correctly. Actually, more than 2 min after taking into account connecting to an opponent plus the 2 seconds to wait for the pop up win/lose/draw message to appear.

If you play a long series of any time control, it always works out to be a little less than the maximum time... which isn't surprising. You'll have a few short games mixed in there.

But like you said, because of other wait times, it's closer to the max than people may think. 2 minutes real time per game of 1|0 isn't a bad estimate.

I really like bullet I have a rating of 1365.
