Game Review: "Show Variations" instead of "Show Moves"

Seems to me it'd be really really helpful for beginners like myself to have a buttons to "show variations"

Like, I do not understand how to progress in this position, so I made a mistake, and Danny says "just move the rook". So then I have to slowly explore the position and engine recommended moves one by one to see what happens after I move the rook.

Would it be a good, to have a button that shows three to five ways the game could have progressed? I'm thinking, like, small images that show how the board would look like a few moves in the future, and you can click each one to get the exact moves that were played.

Because "move the rook" means nothing to me in this position. But maybe if I see a variation that the knights are gone, the pawns are doubled, and now there are open files, I can more easily go back and see how it happened. And if we have a few variations, we can choose, like "okay I like this one better because I'm more comfortable not trading kinghts, how did this happen?", and I go and check.

Specially if we are talking about positions that have been played a million times.

"Show moves" right now is very slow, and only allows for one set of moves to be shown (and sometimes it's only one or two moves), which to me doesn't seem to be helpful for amateurs. Then you have to go to Analysis, and slowly check variations after each and every move.

Appreciate you reading. Thanks for the awesome tools and platform.

You can switch to Analysis and change the Settings to show up to 5 lines. You can hover over each of those lines to see a board representation of part of the line based on the move your cursor is on

Of course you have "variations" in analysis mode I think this existed before even the " review move by move "
