You are no beginner my friend. What you need is a 6 opening repertoire that you understand and can play proficiently. There is software that you can purchase online [Chess Openings Wizard (Book Up) and Chessbase 5 million+ game database. You can build opening tree, the computer software will build it for you automatically. With 2-3 years practicing you can achieve an over the board tournament FIDE rating of 2000+

this is one of the first games where i think i used one of my rooks to their full potential. i got it involved in the game much earlier than i have in any other game [other than to castle]. the game was against a much higher rated player than me so i was hoping he would resign when i was a few pieces up but managed to mate him in the end...ooft. of course there are mistakes, but to the beginners eye, i think i played this game pretty well. all comments welcome!
