So I'm a c3 player, but if black plays a specific way that gives me hanging pawns, I can struggle a bit. Here's a game against a very quality opponent (rated 1970) where I struggled big time to maintain equality, using up tons of clock doing so, which ultimately cost me the game as I blundered in time pressure. My question is, what should white's plan be in these kind of positions with the pawns on c3 and d4? I know they can be an asset if white plays correctly, but in this game they were definately not an asset.
