The Finegold quote? I thought it was interesting, what else?
me, I'm told, "developing bad habits"
The point of the quote is that people keep telling me how boring the London is, and I say, "but I'm not playing the London", then they say, "London, Jobava London, not much different". But they are. Someone else said, "Why put the Knight on c3. It's just weird." That's more like it. It's a small thing but makes a lot of difference. I do NOT get that little pawn pyramid or anything symmetrical... I don't WANT it. I'm going for unusual positions, positions Black isn't used to, but I see them all the time, every game as White. So I know exactly what Finegold is talking about. And I think a lot of people don't get it.
"I think if you like boring chess and solid chess and incrementally increasing your advantage the Jobava London may not be for you, but if you like craziness and weird positions then that's your game. If you're always playing the Jobava London and you get positions like this you're not as perturbed as I would be in the opening, if that's the kind of play that you like, playing aggressively and getting out of opening theory, then okay, the Jobava London."

I don't get why you tell me things like that, as if we were having a private conversation or I said, "Josh, heads up...".
The good news is that I understand positions better than ever. The bad news is that I am still often moving before I've checked things out enough, so blundering. I know what I want to play and get too anxious to play it.
But I'm still having fun, more than ever, win or lose.
And I'm getting better.
try 20 minute chess. more time on the clock forces you to think **deeper** rather an blitzing out instinct based ideas

I used to play 10-minute time control, but I switched to 15/10 about two weeks ago, but thanks!
I've never played a rated Blitz game (or Bullet) in my adult life, and only 2 or 3 unrated... I don't like it. We played a little 'Speed chess' when I was a kid, but no one took it seriously... it's chess with an asterisk.
This doesn't sound odd?

LOL
I just found this. It's @DinaBelenkaya losing to @MaetsNori and screaming at him... too funny!
