Simul game

This is a game I lost in a simul against our 5-year club champion, where I blundered a pawn in an otherwise drawn game. A very interesting opening and a possibly instructive endgame. Helpful comments are appreciated! :)

Good game! The move 19.Ke2? decides the game. Better was 19.Kf2 for excellent drawing chances.

Trading off both pairs of rooks is tantamount to resignation there.

That's also the other problem. Because rook endings have many chances for a draw, even you are down a pawn.

This was my other and better candidate move. His rooks were so active, especially compared to mine, that I just wanted them off. Captain Hindsight might say that that was a bad choice. Is a 6v5 pawn endgame like this drawable?

Thanks for you input Bonesy. My intention with going with the queen move at move 13 rather than the rook move was because it blocked the e-pawn. The e-pawn in turn blocked the development of my bishop.

I'll take simple and straightforward as a compliment :P

28. a4 looks worth considering. 28.. a6 29. a5 maybe. I think it still loses, but at least it makes black work a lot harder.

No (thus my earlier comment).

A 6 v 5 rook endgame though would frequently be drawable.
