Thanks for posting your game! It's always nice to get feedback, but usually better for games you end up losing.

21. ...Nf6 is the correct move to me. If Black would have gone 21. ...Nxf4, then 22. Qxf4 which would have allowed to later go 23. f6 which would have put MORE pressure on his King and would have given your Queen a lot of dangerous room to roam in the g and h files.

23. ...Qa5 is the death sentence in this game. Black for some reason takes power away from his Queen by putting her on the a file where she is unable to breath.

I'm not even trying to make complete analysis of the game but I just mention some things that caught my attention.

I don't see anything wrong with 7. a4. It looks better than Bb3 to me because it's usefull to stop blacks most potent active idea which is to play b5. I also think that 11. b3 may not be the best altough white has the advantage also after this move. Instead you could consider 11. Qd2 which indirectly protects the pawn due to 11... Qxb2?? 12. Reb1.

The position is very complicated but without further analysis I would also play 19. Nd5. Maybe 21... Nxc4 or even 20... Nxf4 would be improvements for black (but as I said the postion is quite complicated). You are right about 23... Qa5? but even after something like 23... Qh4 white has excellent winning chances: your king is much safer, the dominating bishop in d5 is stronger than the knight here, your pawn structure is better and if there's nothing better you can get an extra pawn by capturing in b7 next move.

26. Qxg6 is a faster win.

25. Qg3+? Check isn't always best. 25. Qxh6 with Qg7# next.

18 Qxg7#

hmm....after 28.Q x G6 #  I think it maybe better moving your king at f 8 attaking the rook, so your opponent would be busy with his rook...and remember that a1, a8, h1 and h8 are the worst possitions for your king, except if you don't have another choice.

The author of the post played white. And after 28. Qxg6 Kf8 29. Qxf7# ends the game immediately.
