You went overboard by putting your queen and 3 minor pieces on the kingside.
I don't think 2.Be3 was a good move at all.It is a pointless move(as far as I see) which blocks the e pawn. You should have either played c4 and gone with a kings/queens indian or e4 and played a french game.
You shouldn't have played 3 c3 which was also fairly pointless.
I feel 8.e3 is better than Nbd2(knights don't like those squares usually and are better if on c3)
9.b4? Isn't the best move.I prefer if my opponents knight is at the edge of the board rather than center.again e3 was an option.
11.0-0-0 ? is one of the worst mistakes you made.you should put your king in a safer location than that.
You should have played 12. b5
15. cxb4 is better than e3(though I like how you finally considered letting your bishop out.
16.f3?? was another serious mistake.(Qxc3 is better)
18.Qh4.The final blow.If you're up by a queen atleast make sure you use it to defend your position before going overboard with an easy to defend mating threat.
What stopped you from playing 24.Ke4??
You could have survived a little longer.
I put a better game there
Thanks everyone...about 7.Nf3 was it that bad?
