I reckon blueemu might have been a chess adrenaline junkie about forty years ago in the canadian tournaments. There is a beautiful reverse king's indian of his floating around the forums.
Surely we should be going on about From Russia With LoveĀ which has a derived King's Gambit Spassky-Bronstein. In the book however the game was Queen's Gambit Meran Variation
A Heroic Defense in the Sicilian Najdorf - Kids, don't try this at home!

My chess nickname at the time was "Mad Dog".
Actually Mad Dog, with a name like Rick Stewart I figured you had to be in a band.
Rick Stewart and the Howling Mad Dogs ?
My chess nickname at the time was "Mad Dog".
Spelled backwards, it's God Dam!
Yeah I get that. I am still in therapy over your king in the centre with no pawns around Najdorf.

Only my a and b Pawns left? I actually do that distressingly often.
Here's an OTB tournament game from decades ago... last round, half-a-point behind the leader, must-win situation:
Ā
I'm playing top board for my club team in a rated match, The Canadian Team vs Team Malaysia.
I will allow the game to speak for itself. I'm Black.

And that's how I earned the respect of the Yardies!
Ā
hardcore lol
Oh my goodness what a game. It almost makes me want to play a couple games in the open Sicilian instead of my beloved Alapin. I have never seen Ā a game with so many pieces, rooks, pawns everything blatantly hanging almost the entirety of the game. Well done fine sir beautiful game.

Played on Board 1 of a country vs country match, too! (Malaysia vs Canada)Ā ![]()
Why Malaysia, why??? How could you lose when blackās king was totally undefended??? And you just let Blackās pieces sneak in to your own king!!! Why didnāt you punish black???

Both players were following an IM game from decades ago. Blueemu had out prepared white with a BANG innovation.Ā Me with black I would varied earlier for a won end game.
The white line is a tad rusty and has blown up to a black mating attack.
It is typical Najdorf, white is always one move short of crushing black before resigning.
If you can see a line, please share it.
Ā Ā Ā I have bad news for you. Established theory is refuted in real tournaments. Unless you think theoreticians and GMs are following your on line games(and I won't be surprised if you do).
Ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā
I have seen a lot of stupid comments on chess.com but I think this is undoubtedly the stupidest thing anyone has ever said here.Ā
Established theory is refuted wherever itās refuted. It doesnāt matter if it happens online, OTB, or in someoneās living room while they analyze the position by themselfĀ
Keep reading. DierdreSky's melt-down is actually quite entertaining. That's one reason that I keep posting links to this thread! So that everyone can enjoy it.
Just wait until you get to the part where DierdreSky tells me that it's dishonest and delusional for me to annotate a move that somebody else once played (like 1. e4 for instance). The whole melt-down is hilarious.

Thats true, I only have seen the old James Bonds of the 70 th and 80 th ....
when I was a child .Ā
As adult I decline that movie as its nonsense š
