if we're gonna start a rampage against overrated players lets protest Scheveningen tournaments

As of March 2024 FIDE have banned gaining titles from Scheveningen and Schiller tournaments citing players not competing under equal conditions. Maybe they should also disallow getting norms from title-holders who qualify for senior tournaments.

Yes good point.

good lol. btw here is my game vs James:

Good to say that this game was really the turning part in the tournament for me happy.png I had a pretty average start with 2/4, than I won this really hard-fought game(yes, 5-hour struggle that was the second to last to finish out of all the games happy.png) We were about the same in uscf rating so this was a good win to boost my morale and I went on to beat a 2400+ USCF player and draw IM Carissa Yip before having a bad finish with 0.5/2 that ruined a otherwise great tournament where I gained 22 USCF and 88 FIDE.

Crying... I feel like you're not allowed to be upset unless you play well. If you play badly and lose there's nothing to be upset about.

I'm not saying black is a bad player, but after 13...Qxd5 it's clear the opening was a failure for black, and black admits it with the desperate 15...f4.

I believe you are misinterpreting the position, assuming my understanding is accurate. With f4 Black has compensation, which likely explains White's decision to refrain from capturing the pawn. However, following the rc5, not sure why the move fxe3 wasn't played.

White captured it, he just threw in Rc5 first.

I didn't realize the position is level at that point. At a glance white looks much better to me, and the endgame looked better for white, so I just assumed black screwed it up early. Guess I was wrong about that.

I was talking about black on move 16 but yea

Sweet! Beautiful!

I love seeing wins against him, whoever it may be!

I returned to this thread because I got a message from him wanting this post removed. After acting the way he did back in February, he expects an "embarrassing loss" and negative comments removed? Dream on kid! Everything I posted is true about the incident that night. Unsportsmanlike conduct and signs of crying. Anything else posted on here by other users is between him and that user. But yet he comes to me expecting ME to remove posts. I won't remove mine. As long as what you post is true, it's freedom of the press. The moment you start lying and posting false stuff, it's defamation (slander and/or Libel- one is written, the other is verbal, don't recall which is which). So I cannot speak for posts not by me, but mine are all truth, and so if he thinks the comments are false, he needs to go after whichever user posted the false comments. If it is nothing more than a sheer embarrassment of facts, then he has to learn that misbehavior comes with consequences!

If anybody else has a game where they beat him, I would love to see it posted here. And you can bet I will start another thread with a game where I defeat him sometime in the future! Of course, I will post games where I beat other masters as well! That's what the game showcase is for. To show off who is king at the chess board!

And now he wants to try to get the admins to take down the thread. How laughable.

If it does come down, don't worry guys, I will repost the game. I have every right to post my victories on the game showcase forum! The loser of a game has no right to demand the game not be posted.

Lethal_Knights
