I certainly would have had to come up with something altogether different to showcase had he played it differently for sure, I concur.

I agree Bronsteinitz and have always been in favor of profundity. 
The bottom line is there are endless variations of "what ifs, would haves, should haves and could haves",
but none of those happened. What did happen was the calculated execution of a bishop sacrifice resulting in material and positional advantages netting the win.

Yeah, it did happen or I wouldn't have said it did. I calculated my opponent would bite the bait which he did then took advantage of his anticipated blunder with the execution to capitalize on it.
It wasn't like, "oh he blundered so let me punish him for it."
No, his "blunder" itself was setup by my sacrificing my bishop.
Had I not moved the bishop to be sacrificed, he wouldn't have had the opportunity to blunder by capturing it.
The fact everything went according to plan is all the proof needed that my calculations were correct.
If you're "above" enjoying something like that or can't take anything away from it, then you're not the intended audience.
I simply chose to showcase this sac to show how a sacrifice can be planned and executed resulting in positional, material and dynamic advantages.
Anyone who thinks they're proving something by being "smug" or trying to diminish the successful execution or win is sad.
Learning, seriously now :
- or you are learning the moves, playing fast games against not so strong opposition, having à ball when they screw up and post your joy all over chess.com. Nothing wrong with that...
- or you want to learn to play this game properly, and then you Will have to play better moves that Will resist correct counterplay. If you do not play more solidly, you Will not improve against good players.

This match was just a fun little 3 minute blitz game.
As I developed my minor pieces, I went on the attack when something "leapt out" at me.
It was a few moves in the making, but a beautiful combination beginning with what looked like an innocent blunder on my part won the queen and led to victory.
