dead draw position and sportmanship

Hi guys a minute ago I have played a game at the end we only have a rook each. My oppenent keep playing it for 50 moves. He/she avoided repetetion I think purposely. I share it because similar things happens a lot. I am blocking such players not to match with them again. I think you guys may wanna block too.

There were plenty of times you could have traded rooks and end the game, why didn't you?

K+R vs K+R is a book draw but not a dead draw, as you can still blunder your rook.

Technically true, but 99% of the time, the guy who keeps playing in these kinds of positions is being a dick. Blocking him seems like the most reasonable response

I recently had a 3 day Daily Chess game come down to K+B+N vs K. I had the King. Up to this point we had been averaging over three moves a day. As soon as we reached this position my opponent started moving once every 2 days or so. At first I though he was studying how to play the ending, but he never made any progress. The game ended in a draw after the position repeated 3 times. We were 8 moves away from a draw by the 50 move rule at that point and he wasn't close to mating me. Not sure why he slowed down like he did.

After some point I had stop paying attention.

Maybe your opponent noticed that you weren't paying attention and hoped you'd blunder your rook away.
