    Yes, Vietcong plays chess. “Viet Cong” was commonly further shortened to “VC”, which in the phonetic alphabet is pronounced “Victor-Charlie”.

    Nice switcheroo. But the original one showing had 15 stars (after the addition of Vermont and Kentucky).

    Da Nang 1969...Charlie overran our perimeter, killed 2 in my hooch from my bed before getting into the fight on the grounds...terrible time, still have nightmares and I am 64...the word Vietcong makes me want to vomit...but it was a terrible war for all...
