What Did I do wrong?

Mi_Amigo
So I accepted this guy's open seek and mid-game thought "here comes another 2000nder that'll lose to me" and then...

MathsMaths0

I think it was that his endgame skills were better than yours.

Mi_Amigo

my endgame skills are really crappy no doubt

MathsMaths0

It was that then.

Mi_Amigo
Just go to the last move to see how crappy it's been

MathsMaths0

Wanna have some games?

Daniel1115

re4 wastes time, after a5 you should take, keeps you the pawn (or just play something that wasn't what you did)

Daniel1115

when. the pawn was on c6 you played like the only move that loses, trying to trade rooks. Got to think what he will do in both cases

yoctometre

the first one uh you lost all your good pieces but lucky you got your queen back!

Mi_Amigo

I'm black

Daniel1115

In the first game?

Mi_Amigo

Yes

autobunny

1st game from move 24. Should centralize your king and put your rook on a open file.  I would start by playing 24 .. f5

yoctometre

oh you were red?

Lol, you better say another 1200, (white play like 1200 as well). In fact we all are <2900 anyway happy.png

In move  2.    c5? Why open the centre without development. There are a lot of  better opening for black than that 2.... c5 line. Theoretically, white's half move advantage will be greater if the center is open. Firing the center should always be consider when you have better development than your opponent.

7.... Ne4? why you move a well developed piece twice in the opening without any thread to your opponent? There are more than 10 pieces that are not well developed .Other pieces would be priority than that Kt.  You may consider it when white have weakness in d2, c3 squares and you can immediately follow up with Bb4+ or Qa5 +. In fact, your bishop on f8 is quite restricted by pawn on c5.  You many consider 7..... Bxc5 8.Nxc5 Qa5+ 9.......and then Qxc5. ( you better do this since move 6..... Bxc5)
