Hard to say if there exists a master player who does that. I'm pretty sure there exist such cases (excluding the one in the first post).
The FM probably overlooked that the rook was not protected and assumed that it was protected by the queen. Ironically enough, all the squares around the rook are protected but the rook itself is not.
