yes but i’m the highest rated player here and so i’m playing black every game which is kinda weird but I wont complain because i’m better at black openings than white lol.

No there are 4-5 players rated higher than you so when you'll be playing the quarters semis or finals you have a strong chance to get white in those games.
But I think this is not a fair policy for a tournement at all, what is the point behind this rules?
To give lower rates players an incentive and that little bit of advantage. Also I don't think an advantage of +0.2 means anything in any below GM level game.
But I don't understand why a tournament player gives away +0.2 advantage to his opponent without any specific reason ???
There has to be a criteria for giving white to a player. I decided rating to be one. The rules were known to everyone before. Also c'mon you aren't playing with any rook odds or queen odds. +0.2 is essentially a draw position.
