this game was one I played with a friend while on the phone to teach him some basics and he played incredibly sharp for his level. I don't think my moves deserved brilliant status could it have been that since I was playing against a lower elo it was more lenient with the brilliancy?

Okay yeah when I analyze it in here it shows only two brilliant moves, my game review showed knight to d2 and knight takes c5 as a brilliant but not here
