There's a little cute button near the right upper corner of the chat window - "disable chat". Usually works;)

yeh i know i  can disable chat but that kind of behavour does not make you want to continue playing.

I just feel it is a shame that someone feels the need to exprese themselfs in such a way on a chess site of all places.

 

Im not going to lose any sleep over it.

the reason why i posted it here is it is not very easy to find a way of complaning about another member on this site, maybe you guys should make it a bit easyer to report abusive behavoir

The easisest way to deal with abusive behaviour is to disable chat, block the abuser and move on. If you insist on reporting, you should easily be able to find your way through the Help & Support link below every chess.com page.

Sorry you came upon one of the offensive ones out there, but it's inevitable because it's the internet, and luckily they're not the majority on this site.
