14. e5 wins a piece.

LetsGoChess99

Yes. White should've played 14. e5. It wins a Bishop.

LetsGoChess99

Nice checkmate, though.

SouthClaws

17 Nb6+ wins a rook

32. ... Ra7?? 33 Rc6 Obvious blunders

3 .... Be6 is really bad, obviously a mistake because d5 wins space and you still dont get compensation for the tempo you spent taking the pawn.

You never try defending the pawn on c4 in the Queens Gambit because you cannot stop white from taking it anyways at some point. A great move instead of Be6 would have been e5 attacking the center. Black would not be able to take on e5 anyways because he would lose castling rights.

8. ... e5 was a mistake because white can take en passant dxe6 and you would have to capture back with the pawn because if you do with the Bishop, white will trade queens and you will lose castling rights therefore. (It is the same reason why white would be ill-advised to take on the above discussed e5 line.) I just saw that this indeed happened in the game. Also now that the queen is not defending the Knight anymore means that white can double your pawns. At this point you are going towards a losing end game with a compromised pawn structure.

13. ... f5 was a mistake because 14. e5 wins a piece.

15. ... Be5 just blunders the Bishop and the rest of the game. There is no need to analyze this game any further, after losing a piece like this.

3. ... e5 is a good reply, agreed... but be aware that losing castling rights isn't that big a deal with the Queens off the board. In fact, with the Queens gone there are some definite endgame advantages to having your King near the center.

corum

A lot of errors. By both sides. But a good final mating net by black. Here are my thoughts:

Galaxy_Chess_God

it was a 30 sec match so pardon those huge errors

Galaxy_Chess_God

This was a 15min match

though

Why on Earth would you want us to analyze a 30 second game?

Um... Why does castling rights matter when queens are traded?

Galaxy_Chess_God
