At what rating range do players stop reading books !?

ESP-918

I once asked Peter Svidler if he reads any chess books , he basically state, that he read lots of books when he was young and it was enough.

I'm sure players like Anand and others top caliber , probably just need computers and not books or maybe somee informators (magazines).

So what rating range do you think players stop reading books?

you can not stop reading books or chess magazines altogether.    there is always a need to see what someone, especially a competitor publishes / thinks.     books should supplement computers.

About three decades ago, I made a habit of asking players about their reading interests. For players about 1800 and above, the answer was usually to only express interest in Informants.

When they are good enough that they could be writing books instead.
