Beyond Fritz 6

Hi everyone!

I have just started getting back into chess and am really enjoying playing different people from all corners of the world.

I bought Fritz 6 about fifteen years ago just to play for fun against the engine. I was unaware of its powerful analysis capabilities so never used it. Fritz 6 is the only chess software I have ever used.

Now, even though I have a low rating I am finding the analysis function very useful and quite entertaining.

So, whilst Fritz 6 is probably more than adequate for my needs, I was wondering if there was something I could purchase in order to keep my current enthusiasm for this great game going. Nice graphics presentation, more useful analysis comments?

Thank you all for your participation.

Deep Fritz 14 is the best deal because it's multiprocessor.  I have Fritz 12 and it's only single processor, and Stockfish DD kicks its butt.

Fritz 12 is 10 dollars

Don't forget, when going over your game with an engine try figuring out the reason behind the move it gives.  "Oh, of course!  Either trading off the opponent's most dangerous attacking piece or forcing it to retreat making my offering piece dangerous in kind!  Why didn't I see that before?"

"Of course!  The pawn ending wins!  My king is way more active and should have offered to exchange my more active rook for his passive one."

"That move looks odd... Oh, of course!  Five moves later everything is clear now!  His defense is spead out and I can pick up that weakness I forced!"

I'll wait a year for F14. By that time, F15 will be out and F14 will get thrown into the bargain basket.

Fritz 14 have a 64 bit version and 32 bit version...

If you have windows 7 or 8 64 bits, the fritz 14 64 bits is the best choise...But you can run in 64 bits windons versions  with fritz 32 bits version...
