Fact of the matter is that chess.com’s ratings much more accurately reflect the relative strength of the chess.com community than OTB ratings.

So I'm REALLY a 2300 player?

"LOL", as they say. I'm about 2000 in real life.

No. Because my attention span is so much shorter on a computer, I have a really bad rapid rating.

I agree i cannot get full focus on the game going in the screen of the pc.

Ratings on the site reflect performances on this site more accurately than OTB ratings.

OTB ratings reflect performances OTB better than online ratings.

Neither is "more important" overall, though the current environment's rating system is bound to be more accurate in that environment, of course.

Yes. This. All the NM’s posting on this thread get it.

And  since we’re on chess.com  and not OTB the Chess.com ratings are more applicable here.

Ok. But in life in general, OTB is more accurate.

For some people probably. For me since I don’t play OTB, I don’t find them relevant

I already said this in #13.

But as usual, the plebs drool all over posters with a title by their name.

(and G.O.P. was making fun of you, it seems you missed that)

And you did not say that in post 13

Not only did I say they're both accurate, I went further and said one can reasonably predict the other.

It guess it was a little too intellectual for a naked cowboy baby who thinks he's "got it" tongue.png

Naked cowboy baby that’s a new one

staples13

I have been called a lot of things but that is a first so congrats haha

staples13

No anyway haha I like your posts in general

Farm_Hand

As a horse I guess I have cowboys on the mind.
