chess is for people with great memories

I see a lot low rated players reading there chess manuals butt off for over 8 years and there rating only went as high as 1800s n got stuck there.. I told them that if u don't hit 2000 in 2years u might aa well quit trying and realize that what you luck is memory.. the best thing is put those books and find a book that earns u income.. the truth is chess is not an easy game especially if your memory is average...so if before you embark on chess manuals try taking a memory test first.. If u score above average then pick up the manual. If you average then read manuals for knowledge n fun but not to hit 2000 .. I personally hit 1870 Fide rating never read a single chess book..up to now I still haven't read a single chess book..

Chess is for everyone including Patzers like me.
